Johnny Silbanuz, center, right, the acting consul general of the FSM Consulate, recently presented a $100,000 donation to assist the CNMI, especially Rota residents, in its recovery efforts for Typhoon Mawar. The donated funds will be administered by the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter. Receiving the donation on behalf of the Commonwealth were Gov. Arnold I. Palacios and Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang. The Red Cross was represented by John Hirsh and JD Tenorio. Diego T. Benavente, honorary FSM consul to the CNMI, joined acting Consul General Silbanuz in the presentation of the donation.
