Public Health program analyst Roxanne Diaz said they will be giving out prizes like hand sanitizers and Kung Flu t-shirts at the Kung Flu Fighters booth.
“We are inviting the community to be there are we will also be promoting flu prevention information,” Diaz said.
They will display Kung Flu watch posters and hand out stickers to keep everyone informed.
“This is an evolving situation and we will be providing additional information as it becomes available,” Diaz said.
She added that they are working hard to continue stressing the importance of the everyday Flu Watch steps to protect everybody from the flu altogether, whether it’s the seasonal flu or the 2009 H1N1 flu.
“We want and need to stress our WATCH campaign to everybody everyday,” Diaz said.
On a small island like Saipan where shaking hands with anybody is impossible to avoid, Diaz said everybody will just have to exercise utmost prevention.
She said people should avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth immediately after shaking hands with other people.
