We’re excited to share the latest updates from around the Commonwealth, including:
• Liberation Day 2025 Celebrations – This year’s theme, “Weaving Heritage & Embracing Peace,” honors the courage and unity of our people. Festivities include a full weekend of events hosted by the Saipan Mayor’s Office, with an exciting fireworks display on July 4th!
• Cultural Immersion Summer Youth Camp Fully Booked – Session 1 kicks off July 7th with hands-on experiences in leklek rides, talaya casting, swimming, slingstone atupak, traditional dances and more — instilling pride in Chamorro and Carolinian heritage.
• Governor Strengthens Tourism Ties – Gov. Arnold I. Palacios met with United Airlines executives to boost air service from Japan and reinforce strategic tourism partnerships in the Marianas.
• COTA Blue Line Detour Announced for July 4th – The Fixed Route 1B buses will follow a temporary route during the holiday, with regular service resuming afterward.
• Department of Labor Hosts 2025 Job Fair – Set for July 25th at Marianas Beach Resort, the fair offers real-time hiring and networking opportunities across CNMI’s vital industries.
• 2024 Tax Refund Disbursements Continue – Over 15,000 checks totaling $23.10 million have been issued so far, with more on the way.
