Rep. Raymond D. Palacios, Covenant-Saipan, spent less than an hour at the Department of Corrections facility and was released after posting a $250 bail, Variety was told.
Superior Court Judge Joseph N. Camacho reduced to $250 the $500 bail order for Palacios who appeared in court yesterday morning.
Palacios was arrested based on a bench warrant for his failure to appear to a show cause hearing on Dec. 22, 2011.
Bank of Saipan through attorney Michael S. White sued Palacios to recover about $6,400.
Camacho ordered Palacios to return to court today to answer the previous show cause order.
Variety tried but failed to get a comment from Palacios.
