LB to inventory lawmakers’ office equipment

LB Director Glenna SP Reyes said Public Law 15-72 requires the bureau to make an inventory of all fixed assets and capital goods purchased through any legislative account at least a month before the legislators’ term expires.

“It has been brought to my attention that some members have transferred inventory items from their offices over to another member’s office without notification to or documentation filed with the Legislative Bureau,” she said in a memorandum to lawmakers.

She said lawmakers should keep their office furnishings until the inventory is completed as all publicly funded fixed assets and capital goods remain LB property.

“Elected officials are personally liable for the value of any fixed assets or capital goods unaccounted for,” she added.
