TWENTY-NINE new U.S. citizens were sworn in at a special naturalization ceremony held at the District Court for the NMI on Tuesday.
Presiding over the session, Chief Judge Ramona V. Manglona granted the motion filed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Officer Thea Juaneza and welcomed the new citizens into the American family.
The new citizens are: Sylvia Manago Alarzar, Orathai Suaiwan Alcarazaz, Nathaniel Aragon Alejo, Maria Luisa Juan Alidon, Leah Bonbon Arboliras, Jenny Maria Theresa Galang Ariar, Joana Marie Dimla Atalig, Kennet Jann Rosal Bernardo, Daisy Bacuyag Buduan, Jeorge Alen Purisima Buduan, Corazon Ibamit Buenpacifico, Ireneo Yeyes Buno, Conrad Garcia Canlas, Bella Paras Castro, Gab Du Chong Chun, Aristeo Argao David, Raymond Paulin David, Teresita Mesa David, Luisito Aquino Del Carmen, Jenny Riza Ubilas Deleon Guerrero, Loreta Baluyot Dupra, Dennis Bernido Formalejo, Cesar Chan Fortaleza, Nenita Guila Inton, Susana Cabanban Kapangpangan, Rosario Hilario Lucero, Belinda Alvarez Mendoza, Jennifer Palima Nauta, and Auralou Bayan Sabangan.
Saipan International School Social Sciences and History teacher Stacia L. Beiniks was the guest speaker at the ceremony.
Bryan Manabat was a liberal arts student of Northern Marianas College where he also studied criminal justice. He is the recipient of the NMI Humanities Award as an Outstanding Teacher (Non-Classroom) in 2013, and has worked for the CNMI Motheread/Fatheread Literacy Program as lead facilitator.
