THE CNMI Judiciary issued the following statement on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025:
“We deeply mourn the passing of Deputy Marshal III Jesus S. Santos, a dedicated and faithful member of the Judiciary family who served for 29 years. Deputy Marshal Santos joined the Judiciary in November 13, 1995 devoting nearly three decades of his life to ensure the safety and security of the court and its staff and patrons. Known for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering commitment to service, he embodied the values of humility and hard work.
“Chief Marshal Jason T. Tarkong reflected, ‘Deputy Marshal Santos was more than a colleague. He was a friend and an example of unwavering service to the people of the Commonwealth. His presence and kindness will be profoundly missed.’
“Throughout his distinguished career, Deputy Marshal Santos served in numerous capacities, including Clerk III Assistant Expeditor at the Office of the Attorney General from 1989 to 1995. He then held multiple roles within the Marshals Service Division, including Deputy Marshal I (1995–1997), Deputy Marshal II (1997–2000), and most recently, Deputy Marshal III.
“Deputy Marshal Santos is survived by his loving wife Marie C. Santos, their five children, and eight grandchildren. The Judiciary extends its deepest condolences to the Santos family during this difficult time and joins them in honoring a life devoted to service.”
