CNMI Supreme Court welcomes three new law clerks

(CNMI Judiciary) — The CNMI Supreme Court is pleased to announce the swearing-in of three new law clerks: Katherine Eckrote, Katrina Carney, and Chandler Farquhar. The ceremony took place on Oct. 14, 2025 in the Supreme Court courtroom, where each clerk took an oath of office.

Katherine Eckrote serves as law clerk to Chief Justice Alexandro C. Castro. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Mercer University and her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School. During law school, she gained experience through the First Amendment Clinic, the Georgia Attorney General’s Office, and a private law firm specializing in veterans’ benefits.

Katrina Carney clerks for Justice John A. Manglona. She holds an undergraduate degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and earned her law degree from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. Her legal training includes externships with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians.

Chandler Farquhar serves as law clerk to Justice Perry B. Inos. He received his bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Texas A&M University and worked as a data analytics consultant in Bangalore, India. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he externed with a rural public defender’s office and the Iowa Supreme Court

The Supreme Court welcomes these accomplished individuals and looks forward to their contributions in advancing the administration of justice in the Commonwealth.
