






(PSS) — To celebrate Digital Learning Day, students across the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands demonstrated outstanding creativity, innovation, and digital citizenship skills through this year’s Digital Learning Day competition.
A total of 527 students from schools across the CNMI participated in grade-level competitions designed to highlight the power of technology in learning.
Students were challenged to show how they use technology responsibly, creatively, and purposefully to support their education and future goals.
Early elementary students (K-2) illustrated a “Digital Superhero” and explained how their hero uses technology to help others.
Elementary students (3-5) designed digital posters promoting healthy digital well-being habits.
Middle school students (6-8) created presentations teaching their peers how to stay safe online, including protecting personal information and practicing kindness and respect in digital spaces.
High school students (9-12) produced short videos showcasing how technology has helped prepare them for college and career readiness.
The 2026 Digital Learning Day competition winners represent outstanding achievement across all grade levels.
In the early elementary school level, first place was awarded to Jina Belle Mettao of William S. Reyes Elementary School, second place to Kaede Nishimura of William S. Reyes Elementary School, and third place to Adriana Cruz of Northern Marianas International School.
At the elementary school level, Zalena May Maratita of Sinapalo Elementary School earned first place, followed by Jenard Cayabyab of Sinapalo Elementary School in second place, and Sahensha Alam of Sinapalo Elementary School in third place.
For the middle school level, Bernice Skye Cayabyab of Dr. Rita Hocog Inos Junior/Senior High School received first place, Anthony Deleon Guerrero of Admiral Herbert G. Hopwood Middle School placed second, and Yumi Viel Francia of Admiral Herbert G. Hopwood Middle School earned third place.
At the high school level, first place was awarded to Geeliana Deleon Guerrero of Marianas High School, second place to Byul An of Saipan Southern High School, and third place to Aubrey June Tabenas of Saipan Southern High School.
Entries were evaluated based on creativity, effective use of technology, clarity of message, originality, and overall impact.
The Public School System proudly celebrates every student who participated in this year’s Digital Learning Day competition. Their work reflects PSS’s commitment to elevating innovation, creativity, digital responsibility, and future readiness.
