(Office of the CNMI Governor) — The Administration, in a statement Wednesday, said it was informed that a penal summons has been issued to the secretary of the Department of Lands and Natural Resources, Sylvan Igisomar, in relation to an allegation of misconduct in public office.
“Our Administration recognizes and respects the rule of law and places full faith and trust in the independent judicial adjudication process.
“As this matter is now before the courts, it would be inappropriate and premature to comment further. Due process must be afforded.
“We assure the public that the ongoing work and responsibilities of the Department under the leadership of Secretary Sylvan Igisomar, as well as the priorities of this Administration, will continue without interruption to ensure the continued delivery of public services.”
