THE Democratic Party of the Northern Mariana Islands is launching its Precincts Listening Tour this week, a community-focused initiative designed to engage residents in open, honest conversations about the issues that matter most to them.
Party Chair Annie Pickelsimer said, “We believe your voice matters, and the listening tour gives people an opportunity to share their concerns, ask questions, advocate for themselves, and let their voices be heard.”
She added that the NMI Democratic Party values everyone’s input and believes in the power of grassroots organizing, which empowers people at the local level to engage in active political change. Therefore, she said, the party is inviting community members to join the Precincts Listening Tour to share their concerns, ask questions, and suggest priorities about the present and future of the CNMI.
The first stop will be in Precinct 1 on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, at the Saipan Southern High School cafeteria, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. In Precinct 2, the tour will be on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Laly 4 Pavilion No. 8, and Precinct 3 will be on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Carolinian Utt in Garapan.
Dates, times, and locations for Precincts 4 through 7 will be announced soon.
