PRECINCT 2 Reps. Danny I. Aquino and John Paul P. Sablan, along with their respective staff, continued their cleanup and beautification efforts, reaching Koblerville in Precinct 1.

The cleanup and beautification activity, conducted  Friday, focused on cutting overgrown vegetation and removing trash along a stretch of As Gonno Road — from the Koblerville basketball court, across from Coral Ocean Resort Saipan, to Koblerville Elementary School, Aquino said.

He said the cleanup was conducted in response to growing concerns among Saipan residents about conditions in the area, particularly the excessive vegetation and debris that had accumulated over time.

Gov. David M. Apatang has also expressed concerns about the overgrown vegetation surrounding Coral Ocean Resort and the school, prompting renewed attention to the area, Aquino said.

During the cleanup, Sablan and his staff focused on what he described as an “overwhelming amount of trash” in the vicinity of Coral Ocean Resort, while Aquino and his team worked on vegetation removal.

The cleanup is part of an ongoing collaboration between Sablan and Aquino, who have also completed similar beautification projects in Laly 4, Chalan Kanoa District 1, from Admiral Herbert G. Hopwood Middle School to Pacific Islands Club, and around Susupe Lake.

Aquino said the vegetation across from Coral Ocean Resort had been overgrown for quite some time and emphasized the importance of restoring the area for public use. With the work completed, he said residents and visitors can now better enjoy the site.

Sablan and Aquino expressed gratitude to their staff and reiterated their support for Governor Apatang’s island-wide beautification efforts, committing to continued collaboration to improve communities across the island.
