(SCC) — The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of its Summer Visionary Internship Program.
Since 2023, the Saipan Chamber of Commerce has consistently hosted internship opportunities for CNMI youth, despite the island-wide hardship, this year is no exception.
The Chamber is seeking two Visionary Interns to serve as Administrative Assistants during a seven-week summer internship program running from June 22 to Aug. 7, 2026.
This unpaid internship provides students with hands-on learning experience in a professional nonprofit business environment. Participants will have the opportunity to develop workplace communication, leadership, and organizational skills while supporting Chamber programs and initiatives.
Throughout the program, interns will gain real-world professional experience, strengthen their communication and interpersonal skills, and build valuable connections with business and community leaders. They will also develop administrative, marketing, and organizational skills while learning about the Chamber’s role in supporting and advocating for the local business community.
Interns will assist with a variety of projects and activities, including supporting Chamber events and programs, contributing to social media and marketing efforts, creating content for newsletters and member communications, conducting research and data entry, and assisting with member outreach and engagement initiatives.
The Summer Visionary Internship Program is open to high school juniors and seniors, as well as college students, who have an interest in business, marketing, communications, or community engagement. Applicants must be available to work approximately 20 hours per week, be able to commit to at least four hours per day on scheduled workdays, have reliable transportation, and demonstrate professionalism, creativity, and a willingness to learn.
Upon successful completion of the program, interns will receive a Certificate of Completion recognizing their contributions and professional development throughout the internship experience.
Application was initially shared with the SCC internal Volunteer Committee members as of June 9, 2026, and now is open to all who align with program eligibility.
“Over the past three years, our internship programs have provided students with valuable opportunities to gain hands-on experience and explore potential career pathways. While funding limitations prevented us from offering our traditional internship program this year, we remained committed to creating meaningful opportunities for our youth. As a result, this internal experiential learning program was developed to ensure aspiring young professionals can continue to build workplace skills, gain exposure to real-world business environments, and develop the confidence needed to succeed in their future careers. It has been proven in our past internship programs that this opportunity matters to our youth. We have seen results from our youth beginning the program to them completing it, the growth in confidence and maturity shines brightly and we are proud to be able to provide an avenue for students to learn, grow, and connect with the business community once again” said Kimm Camacho, executive director of SCC.
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce encourages motivated and aspiring young leaders to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to gain meaningful workplace experience while making a positive impact within the local business community.
