(Commonwealth Utilities Corporation) — A noticeable sewage odor may be present in the Sadog Tasi and Puerto Rico areas on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The odor is associated with the activation of the Sadog Tasi Wastewater Treatment Plant during the startup of the digester aerator unit. This is a normal operational procedure and is necessary to ensure proper treatment plant operations. While the odor may be unpleasant, it is expected to be temporary.
