THE Tinian District Office of the Department of Public Lands is informing participants of the agriculture homestead lottery held on Aug. 19 and 20, 2025, that all homestead permits are currently undergoing legal review to ensure legal sufficiency and compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

DPL-Tinian issued the announcement on Thursday.

The department also informed applicants that, upon issuance of an agriculture homestead permit, a $100 fee is required and that all permits must be properly notarized by the applicant. DPL is also reminding village homestead applicants from the 2009 lottery who have not yet received their permits to contact the DPL Tinian District Office to update their information on file.

To ensure an efficient and smooth process, all existing agriculture and village homestead applicants are strongly encouraged to update their records with DPL if there have been any changes since the submission of their original application, including, but not limited to, mailing address, contact numbers, marital status, and any other relevant information that may affect eligibility or records.

Failure to keep applicant information current may result in processing delays or exclusion from future agriculture or village homestead distributions.

DPL also requests that applicants visiting the DPL Tinian District Office bring a valid government-issued photo identification, such as a CNMI driver’s license or municipal ID, along with any documentation supporting updated information.

DPL said it recognizes the importance of its homestead programs to the residents of Tinian and remains committed to administering these programs in a fair and transparent manner.
