CUC personnel have been working since last week to restore the area’s regular water supply, he added.
They may restore the regular water supply by next week, he said.
According to Iglecias, the water connections in Lower Base are being conveyed by “old pipes” and some of them are leaking.
CUC personnel are trying to trace the old pipes in areas which are mostly covered with thick vegetation, he added.
There is water service interruption during high peak hours, but CUC is supplementing water supply from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The elevated areas in Lower Base are the ones that are greatly affected, Iglecias said.
“We like to inform the public that CUC is working to rectify the problem,” he told Variety.
He urged community members to report any water leaks so CUC can immediately address the problem.
