Making bread and Chamorro cake in traditional outside oven

The making of the bread and Chamorro cake will start at 8:30 a.m. This will be followed by lessons on some simple native medicine for taking care of the physical body.

This Saturday’s activities at the Rota Chamorro Village Cultural Center in the DCCA office compound will be a continuation from last Saturday’s which includes carving, cooking, and contemporary art.

Activities on Rota start at 10:30 a.m. Children and adults are invited.

These activities are offered by the Association of Native Medicine and Culture, in partnership with the Indigenous Affairs Office on Saipan and the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs office on Rota and funded in part by the U.S. Administration for Native Americans.
