This is a good opportunity for Chamorro and Carolinian teachers to learn additional skills on using pandanus and coconut leaves. The lessons will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at about 12 noon.
This Saturday’s activities at the Rota Chamorro Village Cultural Center in the DCCA office compound include making coconut wreath, coconut oil, coconut shell bracelet, and bayogu dolls, and will start at 10:30 a.m.
These activities are offered by the Association of Native Medicine and Culture, in partnership with the Indigenous Affairs Office on Saipan and the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs office on Rota, and funded in part by the Administration for Native Americans.
