
THE Superior Court has issued a penal summons for Vincent James Deleon Guerrero to appear at a hearing before Presiding Judge Roberto C. Naraja today, Monday, at 9 a.m., regarding allegations of theft from five stores in Saipan, and from a woman.
According to six separate criminal information filings against Deleon Guerrero, 34, on Feb. 26, he “unlawfully took, used, or consumed the property of New Lucky Star on Beach Road, Chalan Kanoa, to wit: a carton of Silver Camel Crush menthol cigarettes and a piece of bread.”
On March 2, Deleon Guerrero “unlawfully took… the property of LC Market in Gualo Rai, to wit: a case of approximately 35 tuna cans.”
On March 3, he “unlawfully took… the property of Oleai Store in Oleai, to wit: ten cans of corned beef.”
On March 15, he “unlawfully took…the property of Ronghui Market on Beach Road, to wit: a box of coins, a vape, and a prepaid phone card.”
On March 24, he “unlawfully took…the property of Chalan Piao Market on Beach Road, to wit: ten cans of corned beef.”
On March 27, Deleon Guerrero “unlawfully took…the property of [a woman], to wit: a brown wooden dining table.”
The value of the items taken from the stores was “less than $250, in violation of 6 CMC §1601 and punishable under 6 CMC §§1601(b) and 4101(c).” The item allegedly taken from the woman had a “value greater than $250.”
If Deleon Guerrero does not appear, “an application may be made for the issuance of a warrant for your arrest,” Deputy Clerk of Court Novelyn Tenorio stated.
The court official also said: “You are entitled to be represented by a lawyer. If you are unable to afford a lawyer, you may be entitled to the services of an appointed lawyer at no expense to you. To apply for these services, please contact the Office of Probation at (670) 236-9865.”
