Wiseman remanded Santos, also known as “Grandpa Ping,” to the custody of the Department of Corrections after his initial appearance and bail hearing yesterday.
Assistant Attorney General Benjamin Petersburg represented the government.
Detective Patrick Sablan said police responded to a reported sexual assault of a minor incident in Tanapag on May 16, 2011.
Santos, the victim’s neighbor, would give the victim money every time he abused her, telling her not to talk to her mother about the incident because she would get upset, Sablan said.
The day before the latest incident, the victim informed her mother that Santos sexually abused her many times, Sablan said.
