The federal court earlier imposed a 29-months jail term on Basa for violating his supervised released.
In the local trial court, Basa is represented by Assistant Public Defender Richard Miller while Assistant Attorney General George Hasselback is prosecuting the case.
Basa is expected to serve time for his local crime, a sentence that run concurrently with his imprisonment at a federal prison for the revocation of his supervised release.
In Feb. 2000, Basa was sentenced by the federal court to 102 months in prison for robbery. (AODG)
