Eddie Jay Camacho Norita reported to Corrections on Thursday to start serving his unsuspended sentence as ordered by Superior Court Associate Judge Ramona V. Manglona.
Camacho, who will be released on June 1, 2010, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace, and assault.
As part of the plea agreement, the charge of assault with a dangerous weapon was dismissed with prejudice by the court.
The government was represented by Assistant Attorney General William H. Downer while Chief Public Defender Adam Hardwicke represented Camacho.
Manglona sentenced Camacho to six months imprisonment, all suspended except for 30 days, for disturbing the peace; and six months imprisonment, all suspended except for 30 days, for assault.
The sentences will run consecutively without the possibility of parole, but with credit for 12 days already served.
Camacho was also placed on three-year probation under the direction and supervision of the Office of Adult Probation.
He will also pay the following: a $500 fine, a $25 court assessment fee within 30 days, and an annual probation service fee of $100.
He will perform 100 hours of community work service and will not possess or consume alcohol during the period of his probation. He is required to submit to a random test by the Office of Adult Probation.
The court also referred Camacho to the Commonwealth Guidance Center for alcohol abuse and anger management.
