Manamko’ to stage dry run for talent show

Aging Center program coordinator Walter Manglona said beat box master “Ben B” will also perform during the free show today at the multi-purpose center from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A senior citizen, moreover, will perform a breakdance number, he added.

Except for “Ben B” and the break- dancing senior, all performers are congregates of the Aging Center.

Manglona yesterday started setting up the equipment at the multi-purpose center for today’s show.

The participants from the Aging Center will be performing cultural and contemporary dances, he said.

Manglona, director and producer of the show, urged community members to continue supporting the endeavors of the senior citizens.

He said they have only sold 60 percent of the tickets for the May 13 talent show.

“The proceeds of the fundraiser are for the good cause. It will help enhance the programs in the center,” he said.

Tickets cost $10 each and are available at the Aging Center in Chinatown.
