The Marianas March Against Cancer is the largest fundraising event in the CNMI to support cancer education and promote awareness. The event not only raises funds, it elevates awareness and encourages hope for those struggling with the disease.
MMAC gives supporters an opportunity to honor and be with cancer survivors, and to remember those who have lost the battle against this terrible affliction.
MMAC is the signature fundraising event for the Commonwealth Cancer Association, a volunteer-driven organization which ensures that all funds raised are applied locally. All funds raised will go towards the fight against cancer.
This year’s event will be held on May 22-23, at Hopwood Junior High School in Chalan Piao from 6 p.m.-6 a.m. If you are interested in forming a team and would like to participate in this event, the next MMAC’s Team Captain’s meeting will held on Feb. 18, at 5:30 p.m. The venue will be announced at a later time. In the mean time, for more information regarding forming a team, you may e-mail Reina Camacho at [email protected].
Also, for the MMAC Committee, just a reminder that the meeting is Feb. 4 at 12 noon.
