(DLNR-DPR) — The Marpi Cemetery remains open to the public. The cemetery grounds are accessible for viewing and visitation 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The cemetery is also available for families who wish to lay their loved ones to rest, and the Commonwealth remains committed to ensuring that the site is preserved as a respectful and peaceful resting place.
Applicants seeking to inter their loved ones at Marpi Cemetery may reach out directly to the Division of Parks and Recreation for an application, after completing the necessary paperwork with the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation-Public Health office.
As part of ongoing improvements, the Division of Parks and Recreation has completed the cemetery’s fence line project to enhance security and preservation of the site. The division is now working on finalizing signage for both the walk in entrance and designated parking areas to ensure safe, clear, and convenient access for all visitors. Visitors are reminded that access to Marpi Cemetery must be made through the designated Marpi Cemetery entrance, as the Veterans Cemetery entrance has limited hours and will not always be open to the public.
