On October 14th to the 16th at Aqua Resort in San Roque, a gathering to change lives and promote love will occur. I cannot explain in words, yet, I know in my heart that our M.E. event was a miracle for my wife and me.
Sure, you might say that this is only for the “troubled marriages,” but truthfully, it is a set of tools to use within your marriage to communicate, and any marriage can benefit from these tools. These tools however can also be used to hurt, just like a hammer can build or destroy a house.
Couples from all walks of life will be gathered together at Aqua on October 14th to attest to the good that Marriage Encounter has brought to their marriages and to support those who are now taking on the M.E. Journey. Doctors of all kinds, lawyers, teachers, businessmen and women, homemakers, accountants, security guards, police, firefighters, and countless others have done it, and so should you and your spouse because you value your marriage.
The ages also range from couples who have just gotten married to those who have celebrated their 50th anniversary like the Dela Viaga’s of Maui Hawaii who presented a year ago here on Saipan. The CNMI M.E. Community invites you and your significant other to consider. Registration costs are $100 per couple, but you can also be sponsored by another encountered couple who will pay $50 on your behalf to go on the weekend, or any of the newly encountered couples from the April 2011 Weekend can give you a voucher to attend for free. Believe me, there are many couples who would jump at this opportunity to sponsor a couple. No couple will be turned away for economic reasons.
The weekend format will be in a classroom setting with other couples, but no one has to share with the group. The event will include time with your spouse alone in the privacy of your own room. You will be asked to donate on Sunday, but no one will be forced to give, as we all know the current economic situation of our islands these days.
The mission of Marriage Encounter is: “Love One Another!” A simple yet profound mission that has changes lives through marriages.
