“It’s an improvement and it shows that people are cooperating with the government, particularly with the Governor’s Covid-19 Task Force programs,” the mayor added.
Apatang encouraged community members to get tested for Covid-19 once the task force implements the community-based testing program in the villages.
“Please go and take your family out there — everybody should get tested,” the mayor said.
Apatang said all his staff members and field personnel have been tested already.
Under Level Blue, he said the mayor’s office will maintain its office hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday.
He said they will also continue observing social distancing protocols and require that everyone entering the mayor’s office must wear a face mask.
“We need to help each other so we can maintain safety. We don’t want anybody to get sick,” the mayor added.
Under Level Blue, there will be a partial resumption of international flights, and building occupancy restrictions will be eased to authorize establishments to allow up to 75% of their original capacity. Curfew hours will also be amended, and will begin at 12 a.m. and end at 4 a.m. The current curfew hours are from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
But to minimize the risk of a second wave, social distancing and sanitation protocols should still be observed, the governor said.
