MCDONALD’S of Guam and Saipan has reiterated its support for the Marianas Visitors Authority “in these trying times.”
Natalie Mable Ayuyu Glenn, on behalf of the company, expressed their continuous support for MVA as she and her mother, McDonald’s of Guam and Saipan owner/operator Marcia Ayuyu, handed a check for $2,000 to MVA Community Projects Manager Martin Duenas at 10 a.m. Thursday at McDonald’s Middle Road.
Glenn, the vice president of RJ Corp. and RJ Guam LLC, said McDonald’s of Guam and Saipan is always proud so support MVA, and all the events that it puts together to bring the CNMI community together and highlight its various cuisines and cultures.
“We are so proud to continue to sponsor [MVA’s] Taste of the Marianas [in May] this year. We are excited and looking forward to all the different vendors and we’re inviting the whole community to join the celebration,” she said.
“We really want to support MVA especially during these trying times,” she added. “We believe in all the good things they are doing to help us … promote tourism so we are very proud to continue to support them.”
She noted that it was not the first time McDonald’s has sponsored the Taste of Marianas. “We have been supporting MVA in other different things and definitely, the Taste of the Marianas is something that we do support, over the years,” she added.
For her part, Ayuyu said McDonald’s of Guam and Saipan is committed to help the community “because the community is really the one that brought us where we are today.”
“We want to thank the people who supported us for so many years and this is one of our ways of giving back,” Ayuyu said.
Duenas, on behalf of MVA, said, “Thank you McDonald’s and the [Jose and Ruri Ayuyu] Foundation for your contribution to our Taste of the Marianas, which is one of our largest events in the CNMI. We really appreciate your continuous support. We look forward to our partnership.”
The 26th Annual Taste of the Marianas will be held by MVA on May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, 2025 at American Memorial Park.
