McDonald’s donates $2,000 check to Tasi To Table

DURING last Thursday’s evening with Tasi To Table, TTT President Gene Weaver and Vice President Wayne Pangelinan wowed spectators and sponsors alike and with that, caught the attention of Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Ruri Ayuyu of McDonald’s Saipan who, at the end of the presentation, came up and presented a check of $2,000 at the Aqua Resort.

This impact that TTT has made throughout the year was felt but private and government businesses through their presentation in which these sponsors had the chance to fully understand what TTT does and how they are affecting the youth in a positive way.

“I was overwhelmed with all the good things that these guys (TTT) are doing. You know I’m really into the life of young kids and keep them busy with the community and stay out of trouble.” said Joe Ayuyu. Mcdonald’s and Ayuyu has been sponsoring sports such as the Little League Baseball, track & field and athletics for a long time. “After your presentation tonight, I might just want to include this group into my bucket list. I’m really exciting with the things you do. It is so difficult to get the kids to come into one play and as you start building the program, a lot of times, they drop out or lose interest and I commend your group for not only keeping the kids, but to continue reaching out to the kids. I’m very impressed tonight. They are doing something for your favorite subject, and that is the kids.” He added.

The success such as Annual Wahoo in the Marianas and seminars, beach clean ups and feild trips, have kept sponsors interesting in supporting TTT. “You know, TTT is a fairly new organization and Mobil always looks to support education and youth and this is what TTT is doing. Educating them about fishery and everything that surrounds it. The sustainability, the opporuntities that are available for the careers in this sector, its all that we support.” said Mobil Oil Marianas Sales Representative Malaina Kileleman.

TTT’s Pangelinan also shared their thoughts on McDonald’s impromptu donation. “We at TTT express our deepest gratitude to both Mr. Joe and Mrs. Ruri Ayuyu. Despite the current economic downturn of the economy. They believe in our efforts and see the value in what we do. We are hopeful that they will continue to support our youth program year on year.” stated VP Pangelinan.
