Steve Mesngon
IN his memorandum on Wednesday, CPA Board Chairman Ramon A. Tebuteb informed Executive Director Esther Ada that Steve Mesngon has tendered his resignation from his position as vice chairman and member of the board, effective Aug. 8, 2025.
Tebuteb asked the executive director to “please update your official records of the Authority to reflect this change.”
Mesngon, who currently serves as deputy commissioner of the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services, was appointed by then-Gov. Arnold I. Palacios in September 2023 to fill the board’s Rota seat vacated by Barrie C. Toves. A year later, he was elected the board’s vice chairman.
Asked why he resigned, Mesngon said he was “just giving the board a courtesy” and did not elaborate.
Mesngon’s term, along with the terms of Tebuteb and other board members Thomas Villagomez and Joseph Diaz, will expire on Oct. 7, 2025.
The other members of the CPA board are Antonio Cabrera and Dolores Kiyoshi, whose terms will expire on Oct. 7, 2027.
