At the jam-packed gym, the former battalion S-1 took her oath as the new battalion commander with the rank of cadet lt. colonel, succeeding Heartim Williams.
“Every leader is responsible for whatever happens or fails to happen within his or her organization. As the incoming Battalion commander, I will accept that responsibility,” Seman said in her short remarks.
She asked for the support of the Dolphin cadets and vowed to continue the battalion’s “successful ways.”
“I thank you for your leadership, mentorship and most importantly your friendship,” she told her fellow cadets.
In his remarks, Williams narrated how the Dolphin Battalion was able to secure the highest score during the recent formal inspection of the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps cadets in the western region.
He said Saipan is just a little island in the Pacific, “but we have proven our ability to excel. The Dolphin Battalion has set a standard that we all could be proud of.”
MHS principal Karen Borja commended Williams for his leadership.
“You have done an excellent job,” she told Williams.
Borja also expressed confidence that Seman will continue to lead the battalion in excellence.
