After the opening ceremony by the Color Guard and a breathtaking presentation of the MHS Glee club, the Student Council members took over to start the program with the roll call.
The StuCo and class officers were then sworn in by their guest of honor, Judge David A. Wiseman.
This was followed by the introduction of the new members of the Dolphins — the school’s mascot — with a speech from Cabrera. The new vice principal was then introduced along with the new teachers and counselors.
“I believe we started the year right and we’re thankful for all the support,” StuCo president Vinni Orsini said. “The Dolphins are eager to make this a memorable year.”
“We are all excited this year because we are confident that this school will be even better than before,” said StuCo vice president Audrey Ada. “We are doing our best to make sure that this will be the best year for MHS.”
The program was concluded by an impressive performance of the MHS cheerleading team and Dalsaso’s closing remarks.
