Last week, he said, he and fellow volunteer Gerry Agulto collected “lots of trash, including household junk” at Tank Beach in Kagman.
“We had cleaned the area for three days, but people are still dumping their trash,” Aguon said.
Only a few people are now spending time at Tank Beach, but there is always a lot of trash in the area, he added.
On Sunday, Aguon said he and Agulto picked up trash from the Minachom Atdao pavilion to the 13 Fishermen Monument on Beach Road.

“I think we need more volunteers especially nowadays when many have lost their jobs,” Aguon added.
He said he will continue to encourage community members to cooperate and help maintain the cleanliness of the island.
