Mother of two arrested for child neglect

Sablan appeared in Superior Court for her initial appearance and bail hearing yesterday.

Judge Ramona V. Manglona ordered Sablan’s release from custody after she promised to appear in all scheduled hearings.

She was also ordered to observe curfew between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Detective Catherine B. Pangelinan said Lucinda Sablan, the defendant’s mother, called the police on Tuesday at about 1:18 a.m.

Pangelinan said Crystal Sablan’s brother saw the defendant inside a car going in reverse outside their driveway.

Crystal Sablan has two children, six and two years old.

When her brother checked the children upstairs, he saw that they were sleeping.

On Monday, Crystal Sablan’s oldest son called up her grandmother to ask for his mother.

Crystal Sablan has the habit of leaving her children unattended, police was told by the defendant’s family members.
