The downloadable forms have been uploaded to the DPS Web site in January this year. With the availability of the forms online, the community need not spend gasoline to drive to DMV and spend time falling in line at the counters.
The forms and other materials available at http://www.dps.gov.mp/forms include licenses and compliance like government motor vehicle operator’s id card, driver’s license and operator’s permit application, taxicab operator’s license application, boat/vessel/jet ski registration forms, application forms for vehicle registration, records and identification forms like licenses for firearm dealer, manufacturer or wholesale, shooting gallery/range, transfer of firearms, dangerous device, or ammunition, and weapons identification cards.
Other forms that can be downloaded are disabled person ID card and placard, DMV Rules and regulations, driver education instructor application, driver education school application, fingerprint affidavit, Persons with Disabilities Parking Act of 1993, vehicle bill of sale and vehicle certification forms.
To download the forms, you need a PDF document reader like Adobe Acrobat Reader but if you don’t have this program, the DPS Web site makes it convenient for you by downloading from the link at the bottom of the web page.
Also available is a downloadable vehicle registration/transfer checklist which will serve as a guide which individuals can complete their requirements so they won’t have to make several trips to DMV.
The Web site, launched in July 2008, aims to help the department give better services and keep in touch with the community by providing information with just a few clicks, according to DPS spokeswoman Lei Ogumoro earlier.
