Motorcyclist injured in collision on As Terlaje Hill

A MOTORCYCLIST was injured after colliding with another vehicle on As Terlaje Hill Saturday afternoon, according to the Department of Public Safety.

On Sept. 20, 2025, at approximately 2:36 p.m., DPS 911 dispatch received a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle along Chalan Monsignor Guerrero Road on As Terlaje Hill.

According to preliminary findings, DPS Public Information Officer Fred Sato said, “A 37-year-old man operating a motorcycle was traveling westbound in the inner lane, passing the Northern Marianas College traffic light. At the same time, a 52-year-old man driving a vehicle was heading eastbound in the inner lane and made a left turn into his residence just beyond the curve.”

“The impact caused the motorcyclist to strike the vehicle’s fender and become airborne before landing on the roadway,” Sato added.

Medics from the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the motorcyclist to the Commonwealth Health Center for treatment. He is reported to be in stable condition and awaiting surgery.

The DPS Highway Patrol and Traffic Investigations Unit continue to investigate the incident.
