THE girlfriend of the suspect in the recent murder of a businessman in San Antonio was beaten up on Sunday.
Zhu Xue Kong, 38, suffered bruises on the left face. She filed a complaint with the Department of Public Safety.
DPS spokesman Pete C. Muna said Zhu told the police that she woke up at 1 a.m. “and could not go back to sleep.”
Zhu went outside her house in Afetna and sat on the stairway on the ground floor of the building. At this point, two men arrived and stood in front of her.
Without saying anything, one of the suspects allegedly grabbed Zhu by the hair and began striking her forehead against the concrete wall on the stairway.
The suspect stopped banging the victim’s head and said “Where is the money, pay up now!”
Zhu said she could not talk, and the suspect struck her again against the wall.
When the suspect released her, Zhu said she ducked and covered her head. One of the suspects then kicked her on the left thigh. The suspects then fled.
