(MVA) — The Marianas Visitors Authority has stepping up its marketing in Busan, South Korea, as a partner in the launch of new flights from the city beginning Friday, Dec. 20.

This month MVA launched television and subway station ads targeting the Busan and Young-nam areas, marketing the twice weekly Busan-Saipan flights. The flights by Jeju Air are jointly chartered by Leaders Tour, Hana Tour, and Micronesia Resort Inc. and will provide over 3,700 additional air seats from Korea through Feb. 25, 2025.

“Airlines provide the means to meet consumer demand for The Marianas destination, and MVA is investing in marketing and promotions specifically in Busan to help attract more visitors from this major metropolis and fill these seasonal flights,” said MVA Managing Director Christopher A. Concepcion. “In cooperation with our travel partners, we are looking forward to an uptick in arrivals from Korea over the next few months during this high-peak winter travel period.”

MVA has launched 15-second C-TV ads across several channels based on TV viewing patterns and mobile usage data of subscribers. Digital ads have also been placed throughout Seo-Myeon Station, one of the busiest subway stations in the city. In addition, a press release from MVA announcing the flight launch was carried by 27 media outlets in November, generating an estimated $282,000 in additional unpaid publicity about the flights and The Marianas.

Through its charter flight partners, MVA is also marketing the flights through social commerce, B2C channels, Kakao Talk APP Push, advertorials, Instagram, blogs, and more.
