Speaker Arnold I. Palacios, R-Saipan, said Arturo Perez, the new staff liaison of NCSL for the CNMI, is visiting the islands to establish stronger relations with the commonwealth.
The visit will also provide useful information about the many and various services available from NCSL, said the speaker in a memorandum.
Perez is scheduled to make a presentation at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in the Senate chamber.
Established in 1975, NCSL is a bipartisan organization serving legislators and staff of the nation’s states, commonwealths and territories.
One of the principal functions of NCSL is to provide research, technical assistance and opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas.
