Some traditional healers, specializing in children’s medicine, will be at the center on Saturday to talk about their medicine. Parents with children are encouraged to attend.
Åmot Måkpung and Åmot Tininu will be available for adults to take. Activities start at 9:30 a.m. at the Saipan center and are conducted mostly in Chamorro and Carolinian.
This Saturday’s activities at the Rota Chamorro Village Cultural Center in the DCCA office compound include carving, cooking, and contemporary art. Activities start at 10:30 a.m. Children and adults are invited.
These activities are offered by the Association of Native Medicine and Culture, in partnership with the Indigenous Affairs Office on Saipan)and the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs office on Rota and funded in part by the U.S. Administration for Native Americans.
