Neighborhood Watch Task Force may seek JROTC’s help

In their recent meeting, the Neighborhood Watch Task Force officials said they will meet with the Public School System to discuss this issue.

Task force consultant William Torres said the cadets can either join as volunteers or in their official capacity.

He said JROTC has a service learning project that allows cadets to render services to the community.

As a volunteer to the task force, he added, the cadets can participate  during summer as  ordinary citizens.

The task force has noted  an increase in crimes committed by juveniles.

Torres encouraged all the task force members to conduct a community safety survey in their villages.

“This will determine the living conditions and quality of life of the residents,” he said,
