On Friday, the island director of the Boy Scouts, Calistro Reyes, met with task force adviser William S. Torres and Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council Chairman Ramon B. Camacho.
Reyes said like the task force, it is also the goal of the Boy Scouts program to install good character among the youth.
He blames juvenile delinquency on the lack of values among the youth.
Torres said the task force’s mission is to bring back “family unity” in a diverse community by building a “sense of belongingness.”
There will be fewer crimes if people have a sense of family, he added.
The task force wants everyone to be concerned for one another, he said.
