CJSO is also extending its gratitude to the students who helped the group in its fundraising.

CJSO’s bake sale was held on campus, Wednesday.

The group is raising funds for its members’ planned visit to the University of Guam in December.

Homemade soba, chicken kelaguen, lantiyas (soft cream cake), tempura, tuna sandwich, corn soup, chocolate cake, blueberry muffins, fruit punch and ice tea were sold during the bake sale.

All the items were donated by the members.

CJSO said it earned $300 from the sale and the money will be used to finance another fundraising activity which will be announced soon.

“I am so much overwhelmed [by the turnout] especially because it was our first fundraiser,” CJSO president Antonio Benavente said.

He added that they are planning a candy gram fundraiser next month.

CJSO will have a meeting on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Java Joe’s. All NMC students are invited.

He is inviting criminal justice students and members of CJSO to join their meeting next week to discuss these plans.
