He also announced that the selection process was still ongoing.

Yesterday was the deadline for Adams to accept or reject the contract offered to her.
But when it reconvened in the afternoon after yet another closed-door meeting, the board didn’t make any new announcement about Adams.
Lizama said the regents will meet again this Friday.
He said they will forward to Adams the response of the board concerning her “inquiries.”
Lizama did not elaborate but said the board has been reviewing the “concerns” raised by Adams.
A highly placed source told Variety that Adams, a former president of Owens Community College in Ohio, wanted to conduct an “exploratory visit” to the college with all her expenses paid by NMC.
