Mendiola declined to comment.
Liz Untalan, for her part, was named Emmanuel College’s acting director of nursing program, replacing Cherry Castro, who resigned on June 30.
Emmanuel College offers an 11-month nursing program as well as other healthcare and healthcare-related courses.
The CNMI’s first private-post secondary nursing institution, it opened its doors last year.
Emmanuel’s licensed vocational nursing course is based on a curriculum approved by the California Board of Private Post-Secondary and Vocational Education as well as by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
