MARIANAS High School graduate Anthony Jacob “Jakey” Camacho Deleon Guerrero has been named to the University of Hawaii Mānoa’s Dean’s List for the fall semester of 2023.

Full-time undergraduate students are awarded the Dean’s List distinction when they earn a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher. 

A seasoned CNMI national swimmer, Deleon Guerrero is pursuing a degree in civil engineering. He is the son of Special Assistant for Public Transportation Alfreda Camacho Maratita.

As a senior high school student, Deleon Guerrero completed the Youth Leadership Academy of the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies in Washington, D.C. in October 2022. He was the only student who represented the Pacific Island territories in the weeklong program, which included a tour in and around the nation’s capital.

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is the largest and oldest of the 10 University of Hawaii campuses. Mānoa offers hundreds of undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees; a strong, vital research program; and nationally ranked NCAA Division I athletics.
