The outage is necessary to allow the Water Task Force’s contractor RNV to connect a new booster station to the distribution system for better delivery of water into these areas.
As part of the WTF and CUC’s continuing effort to improve water service, customers in these areas are advised to expect intermittent service disruptions as the contractor conducts pressure adjustment and equipment tests.
Customers along the high elevation areas of As Matuis homestead can expect reduced pressures during this period.
Once final pressure adjustments are completed, normal water service will be restored to all affected customers.
In I-Akgak and portion of As-Teo areas, affecting customers residing along Papago Dr. and down on Santa Lourdes Rd., on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
On Sunday, Aug. 9, customers along these areas can expect low water pressure.
The CUC Water Division Distribution Maintenance crew is scheduled to work on the Agag Reservoir to seal all holes and openings, inspect, clean, and disinfect the storage tank.
This required work is necessary to protect treated stored water and provide improved overall water quality for public consumption.
This work enables the Water Division to comply with the stipulated order concerning drinking water operations and maintenance in correcting major sanitary deficiencies cited during storage tanks inspections.
Water service will be restored to affected customers as soon as the work is completed.
Residents are encouraged to practice strict water conservation and to teach children and household workers to save water, especially during this period.
Rainwater catchment systems/water tanks should be cleaned and float valves installed or replaced to ensure that water does not overflow from any tanks.
