The CNMI’s three car dealers — Joeten Motors, Microl Corp. and Triple “J” — sold a total of 46 brand new vehicles last month. They sold only 32 in November last year.
Total brand new car sales from January to November posted an increase of 34.57 percent compared to the same period in 2009.
Last month’s sales included 26 sedans, 10 trucks, 2 vans and 8 sport utility vehicles.
Microl Corp. sold the most number of brand new cars: 18 units of Toyota.
Joeten Motors followed with 17 units sold — 7 Nissan, 5 Honda, 4 Ford and 1 Kia. Triple “J” followed with 11 brand new Mazda vehicles sold last month.
The three car dealers sold a total of 545 brand new cars from January to November, consisting of 250 sedans, 83 trucks, 32 vans and 180 SUV’s. The dealers sold 405 brand new cars for the same period last year.
November’s increase in sales was a big boost to the dealers who recorded a 5.26 percent dip in sales in October compared to the same month last year.
The three car dealers sold 13 used cars last month. Microl sold 5 while Joeten Motors and Triple “J” sold 4 each.
Since January, the three car dealers have sold a total of 257 used cars. Joeten Motors led the sales with 89 used cars sold, representing a 34.6 percent market share while the two other dealers sold 84 used cars each.
Joeten Motors distributes Nissan, Ford, Honda and Kia. Microl Corp. sells Toyota and Chevrolet while Triple “J” Motors is the local dealer for Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Suzuki and Mazda.
