THE CNMI Department of Public Safety-Highway Patrol Division will conduct occupant protection and child restraint checkpoints on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
The first setup will be on Chalan Pale Arnold, Puerto Rico to Garapan, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
The second setup will be along Kagman Road from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The purpose of these checkpoints is to promote the use of safety belts and child seats while operating a vehicle on the island’s roadways. In addition to these checkpoints, the Highway Patrol Division will be conducting zero-tolerance high-visibility seatbelt enforcement at different locations on the island.
