Occupant protection/child restraint checkpoints on Tinian

• Sept. 22, Thursday – 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – East bound lane on Broadway Road by the baseball field in San Jose Village

• Sept. 22, Thursday – 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. – East bound lane on Broadway Road by the baseball field in San Jose Village

• Sept. 23, Friday – 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – West bound lane next to the Department of Commerce

• Sept. 23, Friday – 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. – Along Broadway Road by Housing Turnkey

Each OP/CR checkpoint will last at least 75 minutes (1 hour and 15 minutes).

Checkpoints are subject to be terminated if it begins to rain. This activity is part of the Department of Public Safety’s effort to deter, detect and to ensure that all vehicle occupants are protected.

In addition, traffic officers will be conducting highway criminal interdictions and laser (speed detection) enforcement.
